Glenn & Bonnie met in Cassiar, BC. They got married and had three daughters. In 1989 they uprooted and ventured south to permanently hang their hats nestled within the Kootenay Mountains in Balfour, BC.

The dream was to raise their family and eventually retire in the Kootenays.

Bonnie works as a deli clerk and enjoys arts and crafts, planting flowers and sewing.

Glenn is retired but is a part-time fisherman and sight-seeing guide, as well as an avid gardener.

Bonnie and Glenn both enjoy meeting new people, and they created The Acorn Guest House partially as a business to keep them occupied in their retirement years.

Each time you visit, no matter what time of year, you’ll be consumed with the unique character and quaint charm of this little community, as well as the natural beauty that surrounds it.

47 days and 47 nights have I stayed at this wonderful home away from home. Thank you so much Bonnie & Glenn for a best stay ever.John Hoffmann, Salmon Arm BC
